After graduating from Miami of Ohio, I did my Masters in Physical Therapy at KUMC and spent a few years working in Atlanta. I then met my husband (on an airplane!) and we have been married 10 years. My husband, Dino, is from Bolivia and is a Professor of Fetal Medicine at the University of Cambridge in England. We have lived here for the last 12 years. Currently, I own a Physical Therapy and Sports Injury Clinic where I work part-time. We have two children, Lucca who is 3 years old and Gabriella who is 1 and a half. I have my ticket booked and I can't wait to relive those SME fond memories with all of you! See you in June!

From Ian:

Hi everyone!  I currently work for the University of Kansas Hospital as a Certified Tumor Registrar.  You could say that I’m doing my part to help win the war against cancer.  Previously I held jobs in Pittsburg and Lawrence as a teacher for adults with developmental disabilities.  Altogether, I’ve earned a BA in English from KU and a BS in Health Information Management from KUMC, in addition to two professional credentials.  When I’m not at the hospital, I enjoy hanging out with friends in Lawrence and Kansas City, as well as writing, reading and playing guitar.  Feel free to look me up on Facebook.  I’ll see you in June!

After SME,  I went to KU, got a degree and worked for a while, thinking that I should have been a teacher instead of getting an advertising degree. I met an awesome girl, Kelley, though, so undergrad wasn't a total loss. I went to Japan, taught English for a few years, got married, came back to the US, taught and coached, had a couple of kids (Olivia 7 and Joe 2), and now I'm a middle school principal in North Kansas City. Can't wait to see everybody this summer!

Hi!  Just a quick update since graduation (which can't be too quick since it has been 20 years)  Went to JCCC for 2yrs then got Married to an awesome guy who has been my best friend for 18years in June.  I then Graduated from Ottawa University, taught a few years and then started a family. I have 3 girls and 1 boy  (Ages 12,9,6, 4) and we will be adopting 2-4 kids in the next few months.  We moved from KS to TX to AZ to CO... loving the Springs!  We homeschool our kids and are active in Homeschool Coops and our Church.  (And homeschool families really aren't as CRAZY as they are portrayed on SNL) My oldest is going on a Missions trip to Germany this summer! Very exciting:)  Life is great! Be blessed in all your adventures!

I keep putting this off hoping it will just go away........ I start to have a severe anxiety attack when I realize it's been 20 YEARS! A few years in mortgage banking, 8 years in automotive sales and finance and going on 5 in advertising. I lived in Olathe for a little over 10 years and never ran into any old classmates, bought my parents house in sept of '08 and have seen more people in 6 months then 10 years! Hope all of you are doing well and I am sure I'll see you round. It's time for my nap.

Hello, SME. Not many of you will remember me, since I was only there for my senior year, but I have fond memories of my time there, especially in Mr. Brewsters AP Government class.

Quick update about me: I'm married to a wonderful woman and have two great kids, ages 4 and 1. We live in Norfolk, VA, where we will probably be for the rest of our lives. I work for a software company running the web site and online stuff. I bike and read for fun.

I doubt I'll make it to the reunion, but I hope you all have fun.

After graduating from KU, I moved back to the KC area.  I have lived in Merriam for the past 12 years.  I met my husband Joe at a bar and grill, which we later bought.  After 5 years of running the bar, we decided it was time for a change, so we sold the bar. I went back to the travel industry where I am a corporate travel agent.  Looking forward to seeing everyone in June.

From Angie:

After graduation, I majored in Early Childhood Education at University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I met my husband David (Center, '88).  (we both grew up in KC, but had to travel 500 miles to Madison to meet!)  We married in 1993, and I attended KU for a year. A year and a month later, our son was born.  We lived in St Louis for a couple of years, then moved back, and have been in Lee's Summit for 12+ years.  Our daughter was born in 1997 - the same year I discovered scrapbooking.

Yeah, I know, some people may roll their eyes to hear how passionate people are about their hobbies, especially crafty hobbies.  But I've done pretty well with it.  Over the past nine years, my writing and artwork has appeared in eight nationally recognized magazines, and I am the author of a three-book series: The Book of Me, Growing Up Me, and The Book of Us.

I also have a passion for all things "new media", proven by my two websites (ScrapYourStories.com and OneScrappySite.com), three blogs, a brief experiment with a podcast, overflowing RSS reader, and active social network adventures (look me up on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter).

After a few years on and off as a stay-at-home mom, now that my kids are 15 and 11 and quite busy with their own lives, I work full time at CSC Covansys in Corporate Woods.  I'm a Data Analyst, and spend my days ferreting out errors in line after line of EDI code. (My husband is geekier than I am - he's a SysAdmin, for the same company.)  To keep my creative/writing juices from drying up entirely, I write the occasional magazine article, blog and "Tweet" frequently, and consult on promotional writing gigs for craft companies.

Once I get rich and famous, I plan to hire an assistant, a maid, and a masseuse, but until then, I still do all my own cooking, dishes, and endless sibling refereeing.
